United Arab Emirates
Interior requirements in the United Arab Emirates.
ROMURE’s verified coverage for the UAE is deliberately narrow: one source, one scope, and only for projects in Dubai. The coverage applies to Dubai, and only Dubai. Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah are not yet covered by a verified ROMURE pack. This page states exactly what the coverage is, and what it is not.
On this page
Verified coverage means the requirement has been encoded from a named source, with the edition and applicability recorded, and the encoded threshold checked against it. It does not mean a project complies with anything.
The instrument
The instrument
One named source, recorded the way every ROMURE requirement is recorded.
Coverage
What the verified coverage is
A kitchen subset, for Dubai only. Active, and partial by design rather than by omission.
Scope
Dubai is not the United Arab Emirates
The United Arab Emirates is seven emirates, each with its own authorities, its own requirements and its own approval route. ROMURE has a verified pack for Dubai only. Nothing here should be read as coverage of the country as a whole.
What this page covers
- Dubai, and only Dubai
- The instrument and scope named above, for projects in Dubai
- Drawing-based review, which runs anywhere
What it does not
- Any other emirate — Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah each have their own requirements and authorities
- Free zones and special development areas, where separate arrangements can apply
- The claim that a Dubai requirement applies anywhere else in the UAE or the region
- Any statement about a project’s compliance or approval status
Where a project sits outside Dubai, the review says so rather than carrying a Dubai requirement across an emirate border.
On the sheet
What a drawing review can and cannot see
Visible on drawings
- Whether the geometry drawn meets the encoded threshold inside the verified scope
- Measured distances read from the sheet, with the sheet named
- Coordination between plan, detail and schedule regardless of jurisdiction
- Whether an element the scope expects is absent from the set
- Which requirement, edition and clause a finding rests on
Not visible on drawings
- Anything outside the verified scope, which is most of the building
- What was built, or how an installation performs
- Whether the authority that issues permits will accept a design
- Whether a superseding edition has come into force since verification
- Any form of compliance, approval or certification
